πŸ’ Thoughts for November 2021 🌷

  • Theme for the Month:
  • πŸ’— Getting Ready to Release 2021
  • Affirmations for the Month:
  • πŸ’— I forgive everyone in my past for all perceived wrongs and release them into love.
  • Monday – 1 – I Don’t Want to Leave Home!:
  • Many empaths tend to isolate socially and then feel lonely after being withdrawn for too long. Seek balance.
  • Intention: I will give myself the alone time I need, but I will not go to extremes. I will balance my desire to hibernate with my need to connect with people.
  • Tuesday – 2 – Bundling Up:
  • Intention: I will take pleasure in bundling up in outfits that keep me safe from the cold.
  • I will let myself be held in the secure embrace of cozy clothes in chilly climates.
  • Wednesday -3 – The Groundless Ground:
  • As Buddhists say, there is always a groundless ground that supports you. In the midst of a traumatic event or when you are inundated with excessive stimulation, the groundless ground is there.
  • When you are called to draw on a reservoir of inner strength that you don’t think you have, an invisible, loving spiritual support structure is available to protect you.
  • In meditation, spend time intuitively sensing this divine safety net so you can be consoled by the reality of its existence.
  • Intention: There is always a groundless ground beneath me. I will trust that I am cradled by an ever-present network of love.
  • Thursday – 4 – Depression as a Teacher and Healer:
  • Depression is a wake-up call to examine possible changes you might want to make in your life.
  • Intention: If I feel depressed, I will stay in the Now, seek help from a therapist and friends, and practice loving self-care.
  • I have not done anything wrong, nor is the depression my fault.
  • I will stay open to the spiritual lessons of this experience.
  • Friday – 5 – The Heart Knows When It Has Had Enough:
  • Respect the holy closure of what is complete, of what is over, can help you heal and move on.
  • Intention: I realize that some relationships or situations must come to an end.
  • I will listen to the messages of my heart to know how to care for myself and release what no longer serves me.
  • Saturday – 6 – Sabbath:
  • Temporarily let go of your inner taskmaster, no matter how much it tries to seduce you back into stressful activities.
  • Sabbath is a time to take a big exhale and temporarily cease all efforts to further your goals.
  • Intention: I will plan regular periods for Sabbath in my life to restore and re-create myself.
  • I will simply rest, meditate, and nurture the essence of my being.
  • Sunday – 7- The Clock Yoga Pose:
  • To relax and unwind, practice this gentle yoga pose in which you make your body into a clock
  • Yoga Clock Pose
  • This yoga pose lets you experience your body as part of the process of time. It also opens your chest and shoulder areas to release stress and blocked emotions.
  • Intention: I will experiment with yoga as a form of self-care that allows me to more fully inhabit my physical self. I will create a clock with my body to stretch and relax.
  • Monday – 8 – The Empathy Quotient:
  • Though empathy can be developed through mindful awareness and focused listening skills, it’s also useful to determine how capable of empathy someone is right now.
  • Keep a person’s EQ in mind when forming close relationships and in choosing coworkers or friends to confide in.
  • Intention: I will choose empathic, loving people in my life. I will be aware of a person’s EQ to gain a realistic grasp of how caring and supportive they are.
  • Embrace your empathic nature. It’s a gift!
  • Tuesday – 9 – Boost Your Immune System:
  • A basic strategy to boost your immune system is to get sufficient rest and alone time, which reduces sensory overload.
  • When you experience excessive stimulation, your immune function can be compromised by your biochemical stress response.
  • This, in turn, taxes your adrenal glands and may lead to auto-immune disorders.
  • Self-care techniques such as regular meditation and exercises help you stay calm and happy so that you’re not as susceptible to adrenal burnout.
  • Lower your stress levels by calming your thoughts, avoiding being in a rush, and minimizing contact with draining people will enhance your ability to fight off illness too.
  • Intention: I will boost my immune system by participating in healthy, positive activities. I will not allow negative, fear-based thinking about illness to dominate my mind.
  • Teach other people how you want to be treated. Don’t assume that they should already know!
  • Wednesday – 11 – Feeling Good:
  • Focus on feeling good today. Enjoy the pleasures of walking, seeing, smelling, and hearing the creative expressions of life.
  • Place your awareness on the areas of your body that are at ease rather than obsessing about aches, pains, or limitations.
  • Mindfully drink a glass of water.
  • Choose to have positive, hopeful thoughts and not feed any negative or fearful feelings that intrude on your serenity.
  • By shifting your awareness to feeling good, you can choose your mind-set to emphasize what is healthy, inspirational, and in sync with your greatest sense of well-being.
  • Intention: I will be in charge of what sensations and thoughts I focus on.
  • I will give myself permission to feel good, to be positive, and experience unobstructed happiness!
  • Live Your Authentic True Self! Don’t Be a People Pleaser!
  • These “Concepts” that we think exist, May Not Be.
  • “Consciousness” can help us look into the matter of what it is, without knowing?
  • What “Confidence” is? “What Self-Esteem” is?
  • Thursday – 11 – The Security of Structure:
  • Creating a daily routine can provide a safe container for your life.
  • As a sensitive person, you may experience many emotions, thoughts and inspirations during the course of a day.
  • It is centering to have a stable environment.
  • Intention: I will not overschedule my days. Rather, I will create a daily routine that satisfies my need for structure yet allows for spontaneity too.
  • Radical Honesty – Radical Honesty Institute
  • Don’t rely someone else for your self-esteem and self-worth.
  • Get in touch with what’s going on with you, in your body and in your emotions. Allow yourself to share that with the other person. Take turns sharing your thoughts in the moment. Break the internal cycle.
  • Share from your heart and your feelings.
  • All of these stories that we tell ourselves exist only in our mind and may have negative repercussions with our body. Shift your attention from all the negative thoughts in your brain, and focus on what’s going on in your body and share that with the other person. Focus on the present moment.
  • There is so much Power in Truth!
  • Just be aware of what’s going on with yourself.
  • Be the observer of yourself.
  • Friday – 12 – A Happy Home Life:
  • Let yourself focus on being happy with the people you live with (including yourself) rather than on their imperfections.
  • Be happy with yourself. Focus on a glass being half-full.
  • Intention: Today, I will be happy with my home and its inhabitants, including myself. Home is where the Heart is.
  • Bring out your “inner authority”.
  • Silence your “inner critic” ~ who taught you this message? Challenge your “inner critic”.
  • Claim your “Healthy entitlement” to your own rights and your own needs.
  • Build awareness to your “habit” of keeping “quiet”, in fear of disrupting the “status quo”.
  • How can you be understood, without having to defend yourself?
  • Practice “Empathic Communication” ~ “Empathy” and “Compassion” are different. You can be empathic (understanding how the other person is feeling and saying) but at the same time be assertive.
  • Be with people that can see your “vulnerability’, but will not take advantage of it.
  • The “problem” is something that I’m doing, and NOT some thing that I AM.
  • Saturday – 13 – Don’t Look Back:
  • The past is part of your personal history. It has helped to shape you into the person that you are.
  • However, the present is your current reality.
  • Keep moving forward in your life. Don’t let yourself get fixated on your previous disappointments, pain, betrayals and hard times.
  • Learn from them and don’t repeat the same mistakes but keep progressing onward.
  • Also, be careful not to place former lovers, mentors or friends on a pedestal, because then no one in your present can possibly live up to this ideal.
  • Keep living and learning while acknowledging the teachings of past happiness and pain.
  • See those who love you smiling at you – a blessed event. Feel the light shining from their eyes and from their hearts.
  • Intention: I will not get seduced by the pain or the pleasure of my past. I will stay focused on the treasure of the moment.
  • Self-love is not being narcissistic.
  • Set healthy boundaries for yourself ~ protect your own energy. Remember that it takes time for people to adjust to your boundaries ~ expect push back. Follow through with action, not just empty threats. If you don’t take yourself seriously, then no one else will either.
  • You don’t have to force people to see you or to hear you or to meet your demands. Give yourself permission to have those yourself and to protect yourself – give yourself validation.
  • Sunday – 14 – Go Where the Light Is:
  • As a general philosophy of life, always go to where the love and light are. With your intuition, you can spot them easily.
  • They are the situations that feel positive and nurturing to your soul.
  • They are the people who care about you, who are considerate and show up for you rather than being unavailable.
  • At times, you will be at a crossroads. You can either choose the path of love and light, or the path of pain and struggle.
  • One path is not better than another, though some choices may be more painful.
  • You are accountable for your decisions. What ever path you choose, learn from everything, including your suffering. Love is always there for you when you are ready.
  • Intention: I AM the master of my destiny. The path I take is up to me. I will choose to move toward the light.
  • Monday – 15 – Minimize Smaller Frustrations:
  • When you can prioritize what is truly important and worthy of your energy, you will be smarter about how to respond.
  • Intention: I can choose what I get upset about. I will not let minor frustrations sap my energy, throw me off-center, or steal joy from my day.
  • Having “anxiety” is a “choice”. It’s what you’re saying to yourself.
  • You can give yourself the feeling of “acceptance”, and “protection”, etc.
  • Tuesday – 16 – Emotional Weather :
  • Stay attuned to your emotional weather. – the fluctuations of your feelings from anxiety to happiness – and allow them to pass through your system.
  • Ask yourself, “What is my emotional weather report today?”.
  • When you embrace the organic flow of your moods as part of the nuanced being that you are, they begin to feel natural and nurturing.
  • Whenever strong emotions throw you off, remember to bring your focus back to your heart and your center.

  • I AM worthy of love and acceptance. I AM Enough!
  • Wednesday – 17 – Empathy Deficit Disorder:
  • Take an honest accounting of your relationships to identify people in your life who may lack empathy. Then either lower your expectations or limit contact.
  • Do not confide your deepest feelings to them. Instead, seek intimacy from those who are capable of reciprocating empathy with kindness.
  • Intention: I will not have false expectations of people who have narcissistic tendencies.
  • I will not open my heart to anyone who lacks empathy, no matter how seductively understanding they may first appear.
  • Thursday – Create “Safe” Words and Signals:
  • Intention: I will select “safe” words or signals to use with others to avoid unskillful or hurtful communication. This strategy will caution me to avoid going down a counterproductive path.
  • Do not let someone else build your self-esteem. Self-compassion is the new self-esteem.
  • Stop setting targets of when you will become happy. Be happy now.
  • You can’t pour from an empty cup. You can not give to others what you can not give to yourself.
  • Friday – 19 – Managing Your To-Do List:
  • Your attitude towards your to-do list can have a big effect on your stress level. Realize that daily demands are endless.
  • Mindfully complete them one task at a time. Prioritize items that are essential and leave the rest for later.
  • Think of your to-do list as a spiritual teacher imparting the lessons of compassion, healthy pacing, and staying in the moment. This relieves the tension of having to achieve what is too much for anyone.
  • Intention: I will not let the length of my to-do list upset me. I will not keep pressuring myself about completing tasks. I will make continual progress with this list – and that is good enough.

  • Monday – 22 – Don’t Overcommit Yourself:
  • If you feel guilty about saying no or haven’t come to terms with the reality that sometimes you will disappoint others, then take more time to contemplate on this truth and see if you can feel it more deeply.
  • It is not your job to constantly satisfy other people’s needs.
